The witness is Nathan Wright which is further evidence of this being the right Wright.   Chronology: He worked as a FWK in 1841 and resided at Turnpike (High Road), Beeston. 6 In 1847 at the time of daughter Delilah's marriage he was described as a Frame Work Knitter. 7 8 In 1851 he was a FWK (of hose) living with sons William and Nathan and Nathan's wife Mary in Villa St, Beeston. 9 In 1861 he was a widower working as a Frame Work Knitter and living in Villa St, Beeston with son Nathan and daughter-in-law Mary. 1 John married Mary Wilson, daughter of William Wilson and Mary Towle, on 26 Dec 1803 in Beeston, Notts.1 2 (Mary Wilson was born on 25 May 1784 in Beeston, Notts 4, christened on 30 May 1784 in Beeston, Notts 10 and died Jul to Sep 1848 in Beeston, Notts 11.)

3 JP (researchng Cox) 2004, From the entry on the 1861 census, John & Mary are both still alive. Their calculated birth dates would be 1775 & 1781 respectively.

I can find only one christening for a John at this period - son of Robert & Ann, christened 1784. This is definitely not the right John, as he is still alive in 1861 also, age 77.

As for Mary, the closest I can get is 1784, daughter of William & Mary. This might be the right one.
