Alfred Percy THORNHILL was born in 1885 in Beeston, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.² He was the son of William THORNHILL and Ginnie THORNHILL .¹ Alfred married Harriet (?) in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.¹ Alfred died on 21 August 1916. He was killed in action at the Somme, whilst serving as Corporal 34431 "C" Bty. 70th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.¹ Alfred was buried at the Contalmaison Chateau Cemetery, Somme, France.¹ Child of Alfred Percy THORNHILL and Harriet (?) :
