  Chronology:

In 1822 he was Apprenticed to Mark Newton, Tailor of Broad St, Nottingham,. 11

In 1828 he Established his own business on the High Rd (Turnpike), Beeston. 12

In 1841 he was living on the Turnpike (later High Road), Beeston. 13

In 1851 he was a Draper & Tailor employing 4 men & an apprentice living on the Turnpike (later High Road), Beeston. 14

In 1861 he was a Tailor employing 5 men living in the High Road, Beeston with wife and niece Elizabeth Thornhill, possibly employed as a servant in the house. His son William's family was next door. 15

In 1871 he was a Tailor employing 6 men living with wife next door to son William in the High Road, Beeston. 16



He had an estate probated (Nottingham Probate - Will) on 11 Jul 1876. 17

William married Mary Ann Lowe, daughter of Thomas Lowe and Sarah Lowe, on 29 Sep 1829 in Radford St Peters, Notts.1 2 3 4 (Mary Ann Lowe was born Cal 1809 in Radford, Notts,18 died on 20 Feb 1890 in High Street, Beeston 19 20 21 and was buried in Feb 1890 in Beeston Parish Church, Notts 22.)
