In 1822 it is likely that the family were living in Draycott, Derbys. 14

In 1826 it is likely he was living in Makeney, Derbyshire. Henry was born in Makeney close to the Derby parish of St Alkmunds and even closer to the Duffield St Alkmunds church. Was this area the birthplace of his wife Elizabeth? 15

Around 1829 to 1832 he was a Wheelwright living in Bulwell, Notts. 16

In 1841 he was a Carpenter living with the family at Lenton Long Row, Nottingham. 17

In 15 Mar 1846 at the time of daughter Mary's marriage he was described as a Wheelwright. 18

In 1847 at the time of his wife's death he was living at Middleton Place, Lenton. 19

In 1851 he was a Carpenter living at Park St, Lenton. 20

In 1861 he was a Provision Dealer living in Mount St, Nottingham with second wife Sarah. 21

In 1871 he was working as a Joiner and living with wife Sarah and widowed daughter Sarah and her two children. 22

In 1873 at the time of his death he was living at Mount St, Nottingham and was described as a Joiner. 23

Joseph married Elizabeth Valland, daughter of William Vallance and Mary Brown, on 27 Feb 1821 in St Alkmund, Derby.1 (Elizabeth Valland was born in Not In Notts (Derbyshire?) 24, christened on 17 Mar 1796 in Derby, Derby, 25 and died on 10 Feb 1847 in Middleton Place, Lenton 26 27 28 29.)

1810 - 1833 0498063 Film 6904786 Film. There seem to be two St Alkmund parishes, Duffield and Derby. The Derby St Alkmunds tales in the area north of Derby and seems to extend to just south of Duffield. Note that the second child of the marriage was born in Makeney just north of Duffield.
