![]() Chronology: In 1847 at the time of his marriage he was described as a Twist Hand. 11 He worked as a Lace Maker in 1851 and resided at Villa St, Beeston. 12 In 1854 at the time of Mary's birth he was a Lacemaker living at Villa St, Beeston. 13 In 1861 he was a Frame Work Knitter living in Villa St, Beeston with his wife and family including stepson Benjamin Turton. 14 In 1871 he was working as a Labourer and was still in Villa St, Beeston with his family. 15 In 1876 at the time of Mary's wedding he was described as a Labourer. 16 In 1881 at age 70 he was boarding away from his family in Next End, Lyonshall, Herefordshire at the home of John James and working as a Lace Maker. 17 In 1891 he was a widower working as a General Labourer and living at 5 Villa St, Beeston with daughter Jane Towlson and children and daughter Ann Gutteridge and her husband and children. 18 In 1901 he was Living on the Parish at 5 Cross St, Beeston with daughter Jane and children. 19 ![]() George married Delilah Wright, daughter of John Wright and Mary Wilson, on 4 Oct 1847 in Beeston, Notts.1 2 (Delilah Wright was born in Sep 1821 in Beeston, Notts 20, christened on 18 May 1862 in Beeston, Notts 21 and died in 1889 in Basford, Notts 22.)
