  Chronology:

From 1827 to 1838 at the time of his children's baptisms he was living in Wollaton, Notts. In 1827 and 1829 he was an Under or Assistant Park Keeper taking on the full role from 1831. 6

In 1841 he was the Park Keeper at Wollaton Hall, Notts. His household then included his widowed father, six surviving children and two servants. 7

He worked as a Park Keeper in 1851 and resided at Wollaton Hall, Notts. 8

In 1861 he was a Grazier living at Snenton Dale Farm, Snenton, Notts with son (and assistant) Isaac and a servant, Ann Sharp. He is incorrectly shown as married not widowed. 9

In 1871 he was a Farmer living alone at what was then called Wibberley's Farm, Carlton Rd, Snenton. He is incorrectly recorded as "Richard". 10
