  General Notes:

Another member of the clan was Bob Doncaster who rose from school monitor to become Sir Robert Doncaster O. B. E.. . George Carrington also did rather well to rise from a stoker to a foreman fitter at what was to become the biggest railway marshalling yard in England. The 1901 Census shows that Elizabeth employed a servant, Annie Wilcox Aged 14.
