William Duncan ²

  General Notes:

William Duncan (blacksmith in Cullen) and Elspet Stevenson were married about 1730 in Fordyce and had five children including John Duncan (b.1739) and Isobel Duncan (b.1741). This John Duncan is probably Elspet's father. His sister Isobel Duncan married John Wilson in 1760 at Fordyce, thereby becoming the Mrs Wilson who was grand-aunt to both of Alexander's children and a witness at their baptisms. (PTGray 2006)
