This CD is a LDS production that closely follows the IGI so nothing much is new. I confirmed that Helen Duncan, baptised 28/11/1764 at Keith, is the daughter of Margt. Lobban and John or William Duncan or Davidson. The other children of Margt. Lobban are Margaret Duncan (bap 12/10/1762), Jean Duncan (bap 22/11/1767), John Duncan (bap 16/11/1769) and William (bap 29/10/1772) all at Keith with father John Duncan. Margaret Lobban and John Duncan were married at Keith 19/12/1761. One would have to look at the relevant OPR to determine why the name of the father of Helen is so confused. But this question seems to have no relevance to our family tree. (PTG 2008)   Chronology: He resided before 1826 in Orchardfield or Jamaica, Fife. 4 John married Elspet Davidson, daughter of James Davidson and Unknown, on 17 Jan 1750/51 in Falkland, Fife.1 2 (Elspet Davidson was born before 1733.)
