Angus McLarty
Another name for Angus was Angus McClartich. General Notes: There are a number of children born to Angus McLartys in Craignish between 1780 and 1810. There are two Dugalds 1783 and 1789 (no mother shown). The mothers are Margaret Gray and Catherine Campbell. One is of interest, James 1792 with mother - "Ann or Peggy Gray". Could this be our Ann Sinclair? Chronology: He resided in Mar 1795 in Castletown, Kilmichael Glassary, Argyll. 5 (not sure where this is but a number of refs to it on web) Based on daughter Isabella's stated birthplace it is likely that at some stage Abt 1792 he lived in Silver-Craigs. 4 In 1841 he was 80 , with no occupation recorded and was living with daughter Isabella and her family in Kames, Glassary, Argyll. 2 In 1855 at the time of his daughter Isabella's death he was described as deceased and had been a Fisherman. 4 Angus married Anne Sinclair, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, about 1791.1 (Anne Sinclair died after 16 Feb 1855 6.) |

6 Scotland's People - Document Image, www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk, Death IM 1855. This is based on daughters death not having "dec" but considering Angus was alone in 1841 and 80 years old it is likely she died before 1841.
