There is also a Richard Vail, 25, who arrived unassisted in Melbourne a year earlier (VAILE RICHARD 25 JUN 1862 KENT B203 004) - it seems likely he was related although not found with this family in 1841 or 1851.   Chronology: He worked as a Tailor in 1841 and resided at 19, South Row, St Pancras. 5 He worked as a Tailor (Master) in 1851 and resided at 29 Bidborough St, St Pancras. 2 He immigrated on the Goldfinder in Feb 1855 to Melbourne. 6 Luke married Miriam Neale, daughter of William Neale and Sarah Knight, in 1824 in St Marylebone, London.1 (Miriam Neale was born Cal 1800 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent 2 and died in 1873 in Victoria 7.)
