1. candidate for ministry, South Australian Conference 1874. That is, the Wesleyan Conference, but I think I'm right in saying that at Auburn or Skilly the local branch of Methodism was the Bible Christian Church. If, as I assume, the Thomas family moved he might well have become a Wesleyan a bit later in his youth, say.
