  Chronology:

He was involved in a court case on 6 Aug 1808 in Devon Assizes. 2 3 (he was sentenced to "Life"' - one convict list seems to have the word "Trim" in the trial "where" column but this may be part of an entry extending into the date column and possibly meaning "not known" as no date appears either)

He was tranhsported for life to NSW on the Gambia leaving Apr 1811 and arriving Sep 1811. It is likely he was held in a convict hulk before the voyage (one convict list has in trial column "from the captivity hulks")
