General Notes:
This John looks like a fair bet to be the John Hayball convicted 1805 and transported to Australia 1811. Although I have records of a few John Hayballs if we assume the convict was below 50 there are only 3 candidates, John b1780, John b1783 and John b1784 all Chard. John b1780 is still around in 1841 as is one of the others. A number of sources have John b1784 married and still around in 1841 so without any other information that leaves John b 1783.
