(40) A token of affection and respect to the memory of a beloved parent and brothers. Blessed are the dead who died in the Lord. - Rev. xiv, 13. Sacred to the memory of WILLIAM ROBERTSON, who died at Banff, 2nd Feb., 1843, aged 72 years; WILLIAM, son of the said WILLIAM ROBERTSON and DESKFORD WILSON, his spouse, died in infancy; JOHN died at Banff in 1817, aged 19 years; GEORGE, drowned when returning from India in 1817, aged 17 years; JAMES, died at the Havannah, when on service in the Royal Navy in 1817, aged 21 years; WILLIAM, died at sea in 1833, aged 27 years. Sacred also to the memory of the above-named DESKFORD WILSON ROBERTSON, our much-loved mother, who died at Banff, 22nd February, 1850, aged 81 years.
(41) Sacred to the memory of JAMES ROBERTSON, Junior, Merchant, in Portsoy, who died the 9th day of April, 1777, aged 48 years; also his son, JAMES ROBERTSON who died the seventh day of June, 1768 aged nineteen days. This stone was erected by his wife and children. Also his son, GEORGE ROBERTSON, Junior, who died the eleventh day of April, 1778, aged twenty years.
(42) This stone is laid here by JAMES ROBERTSON, Merchant in Portsoy, and WILLIAM ROBERTSON, Mercht. in Rotterdam, to the memory of their father, ALEXANDER ROBERTSON, sometime Merchant in Portsoy, who died July 1st 1744, aged 78 years; and of ELSPET LORIMER, their mother, who died April 24th, 1760, aged 98 years - and were both buried here; as were also JEAN, MARY, and JANET ROBERTSON, daughters of the said JAMES ROBERTSON and JANET MILNE, his wife, who all died in their infancie; and likewise the said JANET MILNE, his wife, who died the twentie-eight day of October, 1779, aged 59 years.
James married Janet Milne, daughter of James Milne and Unknown, before 1748. (Janet Milne was born before 1715, died on 28 Oct 1779 2 and was buried in Cullen 3.)
