Thomas married Sarah Head, daughter of Charles Head and Sarah Fowler, on 20 Nov 1825 in St Mary, Newington.1 (Sarah Head was born circa 1800 6 and died after 1881.)

James is likely Sarah's uncle - her brother James would have been too young and I have found a James Head, Smith born about 1778 Surrey and living in Battersea in 1841.

Sarah Head Fowler is almost certainly Sarah Head Peacock who along with a Charles Peacock was witness to Thomas' daughter Eliza Pidgeon's marriage in 1857. She is quite likely a cousin of Sarah's but I haven't found the connection yet. These are probably her:
