George Points 1
![]() General Notes: 14 July 1836 indenture for waterman and lighterman for George Points, completed 13 July 1843. I have this indenture plus the copy of his admission to the Freedom of the city of London 27 April 1843 and company of shipwrights. The indenture also shows his transfer to his brother James William weeks after the death of his father. He was apprenticed to William Points of Lambeth, waterman and lighterman and that is another point in favour of the two Williams being the same man. [JH Email July 2012] ![]() Chronology: He worked as a Waterman and Lighterman in 1851 and resided at 3 Upper Fore Street, Lambeth. 5 (with wife Frances) He immigrated in 1886 to Australia. ![]() George married Frances. (Frances was born Cal 1831 in Lambeth, Surrey 6.) |
