Pout Phillip.-Great fears are enter- tained as to the safety of the Lady Franklin and Port Phillip Packet, as they are some time overdue from Hobart Town. The Sir John Franklin, from Hobart Town, had arrived at Port Phillip, and was guim up to Geelong to discharge. The brig Henry, of Launceston, had gone up lo Geelong to discharge.. The cutter Ranger had arrived at Port Phillip, but no tidings were heard of the schooner Sarah.

No tidings had been heard of either the Lady Franklin or Port Phillip Packet when the Abercrombie sailed from Hobart Town, which port they left some time since with passengers and cargoes bound for Pott Phillip. The last accounts re- ceived front Port Phillip stated they were some time over due.

General History:The schooner Lady Jane Franklin sailed from Hobart for Port Phillip on 20 April 1838 with a cargo of sundries and 15 passengers. The vessel put in for repairs at Port Arthur from 22-27 April, then continued on its passage. The schooner was never seen again and their was no trace of its fate.
