In the Long Eaton parish records it is as follows William Dore son of Joseph Dumelow & Milly Dore B.B.Baptised May 19th. Then in the Sandiacre parish records a few months later - William the son of Milsent door was born the 12 of May and baptised the 18th of September. I put this to Jenifer and Ernest at the time and we couldn't understand why William was baptised twice but he is one and the same. Maybe they kept quiet about the baby at first and then Millicent wanted him baptised in her own local church. Anyway he knew later in life that he was born in Long Eaton (1861 Census)

Georgina Lyons, If his entry could read - William Doar b. 12th May 1785 in Long Eaton. Christened (which you like- both even) and he died in Sandiacre 2nd March 1866 aged 81. On his Death Certificate he is aged 82 but he actually two months short. The informant was

He died of Gangerine and Senilis Certified.
