  General Notes:

Taking a guess at John being son of R&M for these reasons: - they have no John, there is a bit too much of a childless gap after marriage, and John's children's names are roughly what would be expected. Not really any other Sandiacre contenders.
[RB - 20050712 - his baptim is on the same page as Wm son of Milly and confirms these are his parents otr at least that they had a John at about the right time]

  Chronology:

From 1815 to 1825 he was described at the time of each of his children's baptisms as a labourer. ⁷

From 1828 to 1833 he worked as a Carrier and lived in Stapleford, Notts. ⁸

In 1836 he was described as a Grocer. ⁹

He worked as a Clark (?) in 1841 and resided at New Stapleford. ¹⁰

In 1851 he was working as Agricultural Labourer and living in Stapleford, Notts with wife and children.

In 1861 he was a Cottager of 6 acres living at New Stapleford Rd, Stapleford with wife Mary and grandchildren Ada and Samuel Atkin. ¹¹

John married Mary Butler, daughter of William Butler and Penelope, on 3 Apr 1815 in Nottingham St Mary.¹ (Mary Butler was born Cal 1793 in Stapleford, Notts ¹¹, christened on 20 Feb 1793 in Stapleford, Notts ¹² and died after Mar 1861.)
