IN 1871 we have Henry Esplen, 37, b Cumbernauld with Adam Esplen.
In 1861 we have a Henry Esplen, 23, b Lanark, Glasgow on a canal boat.

Assume this is Adam's son born shortly after their marriage and Glasgow and 37 are incorrect.

Although we have death of HE 1899 65 yrs parents Henry / Ann Morrison

He worked as a Mate in 1861 and resided at Vessel "?? of Grangemouth". ²

He worked as a Mate in 1871 and resided at Bouncer? (vessel?). ³

He worked as a Labourer in 1899 and resided at Falkirk Poorhouse. ⁴
