  General Notes:

The 1841 census for Cullen shows Ann and James Gray living at Lintmill with three of their children (Isabella, Duncan and Elen) and a mysterious grandchild named Margaret Cook aged 1. This grandchild (born Cullen 1840) must be the child of one of the daughters Isobel, Mary or Catherine who were unmarried at that time. I am still trying to identify the father named Cook. [PTG 2008]

The 1851 census (and IGI records) show Isabella Gray married to James Raffan at Fordyce 25/5/1844, Mary Gray married to William Alexander at Gamrie 23/6/1848 and Catherine Gray married to James Ingles at Deskford 6/7/1843. [PTG 2008]

In the 1861 census JDGray (32) and Isabella (34) are now in Grant St with
Ann, James and Edward and there is a separate household for Duncan (26) and
Margaret (32) of Elgin, Moray with baby Ann. (PTG 20076)
