"April 10th 1756 Alex Hacket in Cowbog had a Son baptised called Charles before Witnesses Alex Sherres(?) & William Mitchel all in Cowbog"

"In memory of ALEXANDER HACKET late farmer in Kirktown of Alva d. 25 July 1793 aged 64; his spouse JANE PARK d. 5 Mar, 1806 aged 81. Of their children CHARLES d. Sept. 1779 aged 21, ALEXANDER d. 24 Sept. 1780 aged 29 & ELSPET d. 13 Sept. 1782 aged 17. This stone was erected as a mark of respect by their affectionate son WILLIAM HACKET farmer in Mains of Fedderet; his beloved sister MARGARET d. 30 May 1809 aged 39. Also in memory of ISABELLA HACKET wife of WILLIAM WALLACE gardener Lady Bridge Asylum d. 23 Dec. 1893 aged 76."
