General Notes: In 1841 there is a Sarah Hitchings, 50, Charwoman, b Somerset, in Berrow with a Jane Hitchings, 15. (There are also a lot of people named "Hutchings" in the town.). Berrow is probably the birthplace of her son-in-law William Moore. Chronology: She worked as a Pauper (Formerly Servant) in 1851 and resided at Cresswell Back, Jeffreyston, Pembroke, Wales. 2 (with Mary Hitchings, 66, Pauper (Formerly servant) and granddaughter Sarah, 8 - next door is William Hitchings, 55 and his wife and 3 children including another Sarah, 8 - see IGI for this family) She worked as a Charwoman in 1841 and resided at Jeffreston, Pembroke, Wales. (with Mary, 55, also a charwoman. The William Hitchings and family next door in 1851 is a few doors away) Sarah had a relationship with George William. (George William was born before 1805.) |
