General Notes:
I've found no Nottingham birth record for GKP around 1819. We know from GKP's marriage cert. that his father was George and a miller and that he was still alive in 1842. There is a George Palmer, b1772 to 1775 in Boston with wife Sarah in 1841 (Boston is only 5k from Swineshead). There are also two records on FamilySearch that have a George Palmer marrying a Sarah Joy (or Goy) in Swineshead in 1803.
We know that in May 1842 GKP was a miller in Swineshead. In 1841 in Swineshead there is a George (no K) Palmer, 20-24 and living alone and next door to a miller and close the Falkner family. This seems almost certainly to be GKP alyhough he is recorded as being born in Lincolnshire not Notts.A neat theory that doesn't expalin where the King middle name came from or why from 1851 GKP gave Radford as his birthplace.
Further complicating this theory is the christening of a George Palmer in September 1817, son of George Palmer and Hannah. Is it possible that George Palmer abt 1775 was grandfather to GKP and sarah his second wife? Plenty of time considering George is probably the name for a first son eg : -
1795 - George I b1775 (or 1772) marries (wife1)
1796 - George II is born to George I and (wife1)
1802 - (wife1) dies
1803 - Geoorge I marries 2nd wife Sarah
1815 - George II b 1796 marries Hannah
1817 - George II is born to George II and Hannah (could her surname be King?)
