I was interested in the source of "Stronach" myself and had assumed the name was in honour of a local dignitary as for Mary Duff. A search of marriages and births returned only 16 candidates between 1750 and 1815 with the one in closest proximity being Isabel Stronach born in Marnoch in 1791 to Alexander Stronach and Janet Leg . Isabel is described as the "natural" daughter and it is interesting to note a related entry at <http://newsarch.rootsweb.com/th/read/MORAY/2004-10/1098212104>
A general search for Stronach's in the Marnoch area revealed that the Parish minister until 1834 had been a William Stronach and according to the 1834-1845 statistical account for the parish a William Stronach, Esq (the minister's son?) occupied a mansion-house above the river near the manse. There are a number of other references to the Stronarchs being notables in the Marnoch area.
Isobel's birth describes her father as "Mr Alexander Stronach in Knock" (the Mr seems only to have been used for people of some importance). A general web search for Alexander Stronach of Knock returns mentions of him described as "Esq" and involved in activities suggesting he was a dignitary in the area.
Of course this doesn't explain what Isabel Stronach meant to the Hackets but she would have been about 24 in 1815 and had been born only a few kms away and weighing it all up my guess would be that she was the source of the name.
Forgue (where she was married) is very close by Marnoch (a few kilometres SE). William and Isabel were described as servants at Drumblair close by.
Her death certificate shows her parents as "James Hacket, farmer" and "Grace Steele" - was this an error? Her father was described as a farmer and it is possible that he may have been baptised James. A search of OPR Marriages reveals nothing even vaguely promising for James and Grace. There are no other Isobel Hackets (or variations) born recorded b between 1810 and 1825 and no Ha*k*t s married an Is* between 1830 and 1849. Her calculated date of birth 1851 to her death in 1893 is slightly later than 1815 (34 in 1851, 44 in 1861, 53 in 1871, 63 in 1881 and 76 in 1893. This could be explained by her marriage to the younger William Wallace. From 1851 to 1881 on all censuses her birthplace was given as Marnoch. In 1891 it was Gamrie.

She worked as a Female Servant in 1841 and resided at "Thorney Bank?", Auchterless, Aberdeen. 5 (household of 20s Ag Labs. Here age is given as 20 (ie 20-24) and her birthplace as not Aberdeen (Marnoch, Banff?)
She worked as a Servant in 1849 and resided at Drumblair. 6 William Wallace was also working there as a servant
Isobel married William Wallace, son of George Wallace and Rebecca Forman, on 26 May 1849 in Forgue, Aberdeenshire.1 (William Wallace was born Cal 1818 in Tyrie, Aberdeenshire and died on 26 Mar 1898 in 7 Regent Street, Keith, Banffshire.)
