The census dates were all around the first week of April so taken with death at 76 on the 11th May 1894 ages are all correct he must have been born between the first week of April and the 11th May 1818. Why was he born in Monqhitter when all his siblings were baptised and probably born in Marnoch? His mother was born there and as she was around 44 at the time so maybe she went there to be in the care of family. His name is variously recorded as Patrick or Peter. This seems to explain it: "In modern Scottish Gaelic, Patrick exists in several forms: Pádruig, Páruig, Para, and Pádair or Pátair. This last form led to confusion with English Peter, and the two names were often treated as equivalent in the 18th and 19th centuries ". (http://medievalscotland.org/problem/names/padraig.shtml)   Chronology: He worked as a Farmer of 3 acres and tailor in 1851 and resided at Seaton of Cullen, Gamrie. 3 He worked as a Sailor (Tailor?) and farmer of 14 acres in 1861 and resided at Seaton of Cullen, Gamrie. 4 He worked as a Farmer of 12(?) acres in 1871 and resided at Seaton of Cullen, Gamrie. 5 (with wife and 4 children) He worked as a Crofter of 16 acres in 1881 and resided at New Byth, Aberdeen. 6 He worked as a Crofter in 1891 and resided at Hill of Crudie, New Byth, Aberdeenshire. 7 He worked as a Crofter in 1894 and resided at Gowanwell, Crudie, New Byth, Aberdeen. 8 Patrick married Elizabeth Riddell on 12 Jun 1841 in Gamrie & MacDuff, Banffshire.1 (Elizabeth Riddell was born about 1823 in Culsamond, Aberdeenshire 9 and died after 1894.)   Marriage Notes: "Peter Hacket in this parish and Elizabeth Riddell in the Parish of Culsamond were married 12 June"
