Chronology: He resided in 1841 in Forton Village, Chard. (1 year old with parents and 6 older siblings) He worked as a Scholar in 1851 and resided at Forton Tything, Chard. 10 He worked as a Not found on the 1861 England Census in 1861. 11 (married in Chard late 1861 so can't be too far away - or did he go to Australia and come back?) He worked as a Fisherman in 1880 and resided at Port Germein, South Australia. 5 Robert married Emily Cornelius, daughter of John Cornelius and Elizabeth Tucker, in 1861 in Chard (reg).1 (Emily Cornelius was born Cal 1841 in Chard, Somerset, England 11 12 and was buried on 16 Dec 1923 in Port Pirie Cemetery.) |

The body of Robert Hayball was found floating in the sea near Port Germein today. The man had been missed some days, and is supposed to have committed suicide.
