General Notes: "Samuel, the second youngest son, had immigrated to New Zealand, living in Auckland, and, when in 1865 he was ill in Auckland, called upon the assistance of his youngest brother [William]." [Rosemary Hale] Chronology: He worked as a Mariner in 1851 and resided at St Peter Port, Guernsey. 3 He emigrated in 1865 from Guernsey To New Zealand. He worked as a Painter before 1889. 4 Samuel married Anna McKiernan, daughter of Unknown and Anna Maria, in 1876 in Auckland, New Zealand.1 (Anna McKiernan was born Cal 1852 in Dublin, Ireland,5 died on 5 Jan 1898 in Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand 6 and was buried on 7 Jan 1898 in O'Neill's Point Cemetery, Devonport, Auckland, NZ 7.) |
