  General Notes:

Could this be the Murray that my grandfather used to visit in Melbourne? (although he was remembered by Joan Chambers as being "Jack"

It's likely that he is the "Jim" who wrote to my grandfather from London in 1911 (the Carfin St postcard).

Is this him? (Unassited Immigration PROV)
MURRAY JAMES 23 APR 1912 DORSET B 845 004
(Probably not as there is a James Murray who died 1956 in Geelong after 44 yrs in Vic)

It is possible that he was the James Murray, 69, who died in 1958 at Royal Melbourne Hospital after shortly after a heart attack. He was living at 214 Arden Steet, Nth Melbourne, likely a boarding house then as now. He was recorded as being 31 years in Victoria and born Glasgow which is probably where he was living before he sent the London postcard in 1911. He was buried at Springvale Cemetery and I have requested any further details (27/9/07)
