General Notes:
In 1977 The Sandiacre Cricket Club published the book "100 Years of Cricket". This contains several references to A.C. Doar who was both President of the Cricket Club and Governor of The Sandiacre Board School opened on 2 Dec 1878. He was clearly an influential member of the local community. The Carrington's were also noted for their cricket prowess and support of the club over that period. My uncle George Gibbon Carrington, a noted bowler was playing for the club up to 1939.

In 1881 he was living at Church St. Sandiacre with first wife Alice and 1 year old Ethel and was working as a Commercial Clerk Coal & Iron(?). 12 13
In 1891 he living in Church St, Sandiacre with second wife Sarah, 4 children and two servants and working as a Cashier. 14 15
In 1901 he was living at Rock Villa, Church Lane, Sandiacre and working as a Cashier. 16 17
He had an estate probated in 1926. 18
Abraham married Alice Rome, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, From Apr to Jun 1878 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.1 (Alice Rome was born Cal 1856 in Heath, Derby 19 and died Jul to Sep 1889 in Shardlow, Derbyshire 20.)
Abraham next married Sarah Taylor, daughter of Roby Taylor and Unknown, on 5 Aug 1890 in Sandiacre, Derby, England.2 3 (Sarah Taylor was born Cal 1854 in Sandiacre, Derby, England 21 22 and died after 9 Dec 1925 23.)
