In 1851 he was a Farmer 165 acres living with wife and children at Sandiacre End, Stanton by Dale. 9

In 1861 he was a Farmer of 201 acres empl 8 men and a boy living with his family at Stanton by Dale. 10 11

From the Foundation Deed .."Among other signatories to the Risley Schools is Wm. Doar of Stanton-by-Dale Midsummer 1863"

In 1871 he was a Farmer at Stanton by Dale. Most of his children were there but wife Sarah, and daughters Ann and margaret were in Clawson, Leic. 13 14

In 1881 he was a Farmer living with his family at Stanton by Dale. 15 16

He signed a will on 28 Dec 1882 in Stanton by Dale. 17

He had an estate probated on 20 Jun 1890 in Derby. 18 19

5 Chris Andrew (candrew AT kingston.net), William was born in Stanton by Dale, Derbyshire, probably 1815 and 1819. We don't know, yet, the names of both of his parents, although in 1871 his mother, Ann, a widow age 70, born in Stanton by Dale, was living with the family. There are two baptisms on the IGI for children of William and Ann in Stanton by Dale - Thomas in 1820 and Richard in 1818. .

I Will devise and bequeath all my realty of whatsoever kind I shall die possessed unto my dear wife Sarah Doar absolutely, and to be disposed of as she may think proper.

I also Will devise and bequeath onto my said wife absolutely for her sole use and exclusive enjoyment, all my personal property consisting of all my live and dead Farming Stock all my farm crops all my Household Furniture, Plate, Linen, Pictures, Prints, Clocks, Watches, Bedding and all monies owing to me at the time of my decease and all property of whatsoever kind it may be, the same to be subject to the payment of all my just debts funeral testamentary and other necessary expenses

And II hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife, my brother in law Mary Baguley of Burton Joyce in the County of Nottingham, Yeoman and my friend James Hollingworth Goodwin of Risley in the said County of Derby, Schoolmaster, to be Executors and Trustees of this my said last Will and Testament

I witness whereof I hereunto set my hand this 28th day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and eighty two.
