Apparently their ship burnt later the same year of 1859......

"The Herald of the Morning was a fine ship of 1292 tons register, built at St. John New Brunswick in 1855, and classed Al at Lloyd's for seven years. The ship had been expressly built for trading with the colony of Victoria. Captain Rudolph was the Master. He retired to rest at about 11 pm on the 15th of November 1859 when he was awoken by the yell of FIRE! at a quarter past 12 am. The fire quickly spread over the vessel. A number of attempts were made to scuttle the ship by cutting holes in her side, but as she burnt the holes rose above the water and were of little use. One of the anchor chains was slipped, but the heat was so great that they were unable to release the other, so it was finally cut through from the outside. The ship was towed ashore at Sandridge by two tugs, Lioness and Sophia, and left to burn. Part of the cargo consisted of an iron bridge intended for the crossing of the Yarra at Hawthorn and several tons of water pipes as well as some case goods.
This seemed to me to be a good wreck to go and look for. It was not far from home, this being the main point, me not having any money was another. To the State Library I headed and found the information on the burning etc. Things seemed to be getting better, but with wreck hunting you have to be patient. I read the papers for a number of months after the burning. But unfortunately, I was unable to come up with any more information on the wreck."

. V Tentative

In fact definitely not the one as he was 48 in 1851!

The Jakeman birth is the only one on IGI even vaguely possible.

15 Information provided by Walter Jakeman to Paul T Gray afteer an enquiry to yorksgen@rootsweb.com (see jakeman2007apr.rtf), Mary Jakeman
The Cunberworth baptismal register has an entry for a George Jackman son of Mary Jackman, a single woman, on 22/2/1803. This Mary is the only known candidate.

16 Registry of Births Deaths & Marriages (Victoria) - Certificate, http://online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/home, Marriage AHS&HH 1854. doesn't say "deceased".

17 Letter - Bartley Drohan 2003, 1857 was when Dinah Turton came alone to Australia.

Deaths Mar 1855 Heywood George Huddersfield 9a 230
(The certificate shows he was 74 and a Fancy Cloth Handloom Weaver which would fit with the GH 1851C b1786 Huddersfield)

This is more likely .....
Deaths Sep 1854
Jackman George Huddersfield 9a 184
(61a labourer informat wife Mary both of whom appear on 1851C - try again!)

Found a George Heywood b1802 Cumberworth Commercial Traveller in 1861 in Liverpool - no sign of him in 1851 so maybe Dinah went to Aus without him. Based on this we can try ......
Deaths Dec 1862
Heywood George Huddersfield 9a 192 (RBJan2007 - not him)
